Fameccanica was founded in 1975 as a small company working in the production of machinery for the baby diaper and sanitary towel industry. But it had a big goal: developing know-how, technology and resources in order to be able to meet all Customer requirements, in the present and in the future.

Year after year, growth was quick and continuous, leading up to market leadership. Today, we can proudly state that we have successfully installed and put into operation a total of over 600 production lines (lady sanitary napkins, baby and A.I. diapers) and plastic perforation machines all over the world. In our lifetime, our sales have grown steadily: in the last four years alone, they increased at a rate of 150%. The same is true for our staff, which today includes more than 400 employees.

All this is due mainly to four key concepts:

Creativity: keeping an eye on the future to be able to anticipate the needs of a market always in evolution;

These key concepts are constant and everlasting, and are the basis for the next step, already undertaken and in continuous development: Fameccanica services. Our Customers can rely on our organization for any and all needs. Raw materials testing, process tests and studies, and product development are only few of the services we can offer before purchasing a machine. But also, after the machinery has been delivered, whether our Customers need spare parts, technical maintenance, training or implementation of their existing equipment, Fameccanica’s staff is always available to answer their questions and supply help and assistance. Our most recent effort in this direction has been the opening of a production plant in Minhang, Shanghai: Fameccanica Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., with the aim to get closer to its customers in that region in order to improve, overall, the level and quality of service and to manufacture, locally, parts and assemblies for machines and to deliver complete baby diaper, lady napkin and pantiliner converting machines especially designed by Fameccanica.Data for the Chinese and the other developing markets.
