French diaper maker adds converting
lines
"French paper and diaper producer Novacare,
formely Papeteries Mougeot, is expanding
its hygiene products capacity.
The company started up a new 90 milion unit-per-year
Fameccanica training pants converting line
last month in its factory at Laval-sur-Vologne,
France.
Training pants represent 11% of the baby
hygiene products market, and demand for
these diapers is strengthening, Paperloop.com
reported. Paperloop.com
is a sister electronic publication of Nonwovens
Market. Both publications are published
by Paperloop Inc.
Novacare will also install a new sanitary
products converting line in November and
plans to choose the equipment supplier shortly.
In April, the company started up a sixth
diaper converting line. The Fameccanica
unit produces 600 diapers-per-minute, boosting
the company's total annual diaper capacity
from 480 million to 700 million. Novacare
is majority owned by the Dussapt family,
Paperloop.com
reported."
