Two new FA-X Special machines for baby diaper manufacturing have been completely started-up in full production in the last weeks with exceptional results. Among the many installations that Fameccanica carried out in the last months, Fameccanica is willing to focus on the above two ones for a few important reasons.

First of all, because the results went beyond any expectation for the quickness of the start-up and the short time spent by the local operators to master the manufacturing line. After the machine installation and the normal set-up operations, the machine was launched to standard production and after less than a couple of weeks the results were really outstanding. Just to give some reference numbers, during the taking over tests the shift-efficiency often exceeded 92% with less than 1% scrap and the same happened in the following shifts.

Another exceptional result was that the machine outperformed in process stability: several of the 8-hour production-shifts in the very first weeks were carried out without any stops with the operators working in very comfortable conditions.

The second reason is that the above results were reached in very challenging conditions: in fact the machine installed in Asia was tested for 4 different product sizes and the one installed in the Middle East was tested for 5 different sizes with different structures for a total of 13 different product-types. So, the above significant results have been repeated for many different products in a very short period of time.

Model FA-X Special is a medium capacity machine for the manufacturing of baby diapers and is part of Fameccanica.Data "Evolution Machine Series". This machine builds on technology gained through the creation of its sister machine, the higher performing FA-X Superstar, holding the same process concepts, the same chassis configuration, the same robustness as well as similar components. This machine proves to be, once again, one of the most efficient and reliable machines in its market segment.
