| “Full modularity”
chassis configuration and “Easy installation
and start-up” concepts are applied:
high integration of drive, pneumatic piping, electrical
equipment and wiring, installed inside modules. |

The machine is equipped with
off-line unwinders with brushless servomotor driven
expanding spindles. All of them are equipped with
web accumulation systems and automatic “controlled-speed
splicing” systems with “cut&splice”
devices.
Special off-line unwinders are used for wider
materials (e.g. nonwoven topsheet, polyethylene
backsheet) and all feature web accumulation systems
for “Zero-Speed” splicing
at full machine speed. Special devices for easy
web preparation are employed.
The cross-wise position of the product structure
materials is constantly controlled through electronic
web tracking and self-alignment
equipment. Additional tension control
devices, with brushless servomotor equipment,
guarantee the best web tension control along the
whole web flow and allow for reduced tension in
case of accurate application of delicate materials. |

MODE DIP Mill
(Fameccanica.Data patented technology) for highly
efficient fiberization of any kind of treated or
untreated pulp with low power consumption; double
infeed system with brushless servomotors
for cellulose pulp web advancing and automatic
splicing capability, suitable for on-line
mixing of two different pulps.
The machine can be equipped with one or
more mills to feed each pad forming section
independently. Each of the above mills are integrated
in a specifically designed fluff absorbent
core delivery system, so that the fiberized
pulp is immediately conveyed to the rotary
drum forming. Contoured, flat or longitudinally
and/or cross-wise profiled pads can be produced.
“Multistream” forming
capability allowing for different absorbent core
designs and for effective S.A.P. (Super-Absorbent
Polymer) blend applications.
Suitable for “ultra-thin”
absorbent core formation. |

Fameccanica-design process
units are utilized to guarantee the effectiveness
of each step of the manufacturing process. Each
of them include the most advanced features
needed for the specific application and
for long life of the components. According to the
specific units, typical characteristics are: temperature
control (heating or chilling) systems, fine adjustment
systems, push-button operated re-phasing systems
(to guarantee accurate phasing with line in run),
integrated lubrication systems, torque limiters
and devices for easy disconnection.

loading and unloading of complete leg shaping

| The D.P.S.S. product
data management system is available on
industrial PC platform with Microsoft Windows interface.
This system, specifically designed by Fameccanica,
allows for the effective collection, storage
and analysis of production data (production,
scraps and downtime, Pareto charts). It is suitable
for connection to any current network for remote
technical assistance. |

| A wide range of specific equipment
can be installed for process air filtration (self
cleaning rotary filters, dry sacs systems, equipment
for connection to centralized plant filtering systems,
etc.). |

Designed in compliance with European
Safety Regulations.
The whole machine has been designed keeping in mind
operators' safety. Continuous improvements are accomplished
thanks to dedicated internal audits. Safety guards
with safety switches and security locks on operator
and drive side are installed. Different kinds of
jib hoists with pivoting arms are available, including
special types designed for easy and safe semi-automatic
reel-handling from the pallet to the machine. |
