“Full modularity”
chassis configuration and “Easy installation
and start-up” concepts are applied:
high integration of drive, pneumatic piping, vacuum
ducting, electrical equipment and wiring, installed
inside modules.
This machine has been designed on the basis
of the experience made on the more
performing sister FA-X Superstar, described
in the previous pages, thus maintaining the same
process concepts, the same chassis configuration,
the same robustness and also the most of the components
employed. For this reason, this machine is definitely
one of the most efficient and reliable
machines in its market segment. “Full
servo technology”: each process unit
is independently driven as well as each material
feeding and transport system so that machine
set-up and format change operations are
easier and each process step can be quickly adapted
when different materials are used or operating conditions
change.

The machine is equipped with unwinders
with motorized expanding spindles (one motor per
reel), tension control with dancers, web accumulation
systems and automatic “cut&splice”
systems.
The cross-wise position of the product structure
materials is constantly controlled through electronic
web tracking and self-alignment
equipment. Several solutions
are available for the feeding of specific materials
like elastic bands, elasticized ear-tapes, tape
tabs, frontal tape (on-line assembly capability
or use of pre-assembled materials, standard or high
diameter reels, etc.). |

MODE DIP Mill
(Fameccanica.Data patented technology) for highly
efficient fiberization of any kind of treated or
untreated pulp with low power consumption; double
infeed system with automatic splicing
capability through automatic switch of
the pulp sheets. Fluff absorbent core
delivery systems with rotary drum forming
for contoured, flat or longitudinally and/or cross-wise
profiled pads. “Multistream”
forming capability allowing different absorbent
core designs and for effective S.A.P. (Super-Absorbent
Polymer) blend applications.
Suitable for “ultra-thin”
absorbent core formation. “Airlaid”
absorbent core processing capability with
different feeding systems available, specifically
designed to handle materials supplied in all the
different forms today offered by the market (reels,
festoons). |

Fameccanica-design process
units are utilized to guarantee the user-friendliness
and the accuracy of each step of the manufacturing
process.
Then, some ingenious solutions are adopted, such
as the edge shaping unit that has been specifically
designed for a long-life, maintenance-free
operation.
Other typical characteristics are: temperature control
(heating or chilling) systems, fine adjustment systems,
push-button operated re-phasing systems (to guarantee
accurate phasing with line in run), integrated lubrication
systems. |

the purpose of cutting and shaping disposable
