MAIN FEATURES
  GENERAL MACHINE CONCEPT

FNL Evolution is available in three different configurations:
- FNL Evolution Fluff manufactures lady napkins with fluff absorbent core;
- FNL Evolution Ultra is suitable for products with airlaid ultra-thin absorbent core;
- FNL Evolution Swing allows the alternative manufacturing of the above product structures.
This machine can be connected with two different trifolding-wrapping machines:
- model TFW for standard “Single-Wrap”;
- model TFW-Plus, specifically designed for the “Easy-Wrap”.
This machine is characterized by its well-known modular design that allows flexibility, easy future upgrading or modifications and trouble-free installation.
This machine can be customized also for the manufacturing of Light Incontinence Products.

  RAW MATERIAL FEEDING

The machine is equipped with unwinders with motorized expanding spindles, tension controls with dancers and “cut&splice” devices.
The cross-wise position of the product structure materials is constantly controlled through electronic web tracking and self-alignment equipment.

  ABSORBENT CORE FORMING
Different feeding systems available for airlaid absorbent core, designed to handle material supplied in all the different forms offered by the market (reels, festoons). Systems for the on-line assembly of airlaid and SAP cores are available.
The rotary drum forming allows the manufacturing of contoured, flat or longitudinally profiled fluff pads.
The machine can be equipped with one or two forming sections.
MODE Mill (Fameccanica.Data patented technology) for highly efficient fiberization of any kind of treated or untreated pulp with low power consumption. Different solutions are available to allow the processing of different pulp-widths (from 10 to 20 inches), and single or double infeed systems are available (for manual and automatic splicing respectively).
  PROCESS UNITS
Fameccanica-design process units guarantee the effectiveness and accuracy of each step of the manufacturing process.
Each of them include the most advanced features needed for the specific application and for long life of the components such as temperature control systems, fine adjustment systems, re-phasing systems, integrated lubrication systems, torque limiters.
FAMECCANICA LASER CUTTING TECHNOLOGY
The FAMECCANICA LASER CUTTING TECHNOLOGY is a proven turn-key solution specifically developed by Fameccanica for the purpose of cutting and shaping disposable articles such as lady sanitary napkins, panty shields, baby diapers and training pants, adult diapers and adult pull-up pants.
The system provides:

- easier management of size change
- elimination of cutting unit-ops and spare parts handling

  PRODUCT FOLDING
Model TFW is equipped either with a cross-direction trifolding system (in case of lady napkins) or with a machine-direction trifolding system operated with blades (in case of light incontinence products). Refer, respectively, to pouch drawings “Single Wrap - Type A” and “Single Wrap - Type B” for details.
Model TFW-Plus is equipped with a cross-direction trifolding system. Refer to pouch drawing “Easy Wrap” for details.
  LOGIC CONTROL OF MACHINE FUNCTIONS
Machine Functional Control by powerful PLC with distributed I/O allowing the easiest implementation of retrofitting modules.
Programmable Limit Switch for an accurate management of electronic phasing.
Operator interface for centralized management of all machine operation phases (start-up, shut-down, changeover).
Alpha numerical display of operation messages on machine running mode, downtime and automatically rejected products.
  QUALITY CONTROL
Quality control system with raw material presence and/or application control and automatic rejection of defective products.
Visual web inspection systems are available to check products while being manufactured.
  PRODUCTION DATA SUPERVISION
The D.P.S.S. product data management system is available on industrial PC platform with Microsoft Windows interface. This system, specifically designed by Fameccanica, allows the effective collection, storage and analysis of production data (production, scraps and downtime, Pareto charts). It is suitable for connection to any current network for remote technical assistance.
  AIR FILTRATION
A wide range of specific equipment can be installed for the filtration of the air needed for the manufacturing process (self cleaning rotary filters, dry sacs systems, equipment for connection to centralized plant filtering systems, etc.).
  SAFETY
Designed in compliance with European Safety Regulations.
The whole machine has been designed keeping in mind operators' safety. Continuous improvements are accomplished thanks to dedicated internal audits. Safety guards with safety switches and security locks are installed. Different kinds of jib hoists are available, including special types designed for easy and safe semi-automatic reel-handling from the pallet to the machine.
