Fameccanica starts a collaboration with MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology - to study Robotics and Automation solutions for the future of Smart Factory Automation.

The agreement is part of MIT's Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) reserved for multinationals and companies with revenues over $500 million annually, interested in long-term collaboration with MIT. Today more than 600 companies from 33 countries are members, of which only 6 are Italian.

One of the 6 Italian excellences is Angelini Industries, which has chosen Fameccanica to implement a six-year action plan with the goal of developing synergies between MIT's applied research programs and Fameccanica projects in the areas of robotics, industrial automation and sustainable manufacturing

MIT, based in Cambridge (Boston), is among the world leaders in technological research and is considered the world's leading university for applied research in industrial development, robotics and industrial process automation.

The membership agreement between Angelini Industries and MIT, activated by Angelini Academy - the Group's Corporate Academy that deals with employee training, skill development and professional growth - will run for 2 years and will provide the opportunity to connect with researchers and the approximately 2,000 startups linked to MIT in various areas (biotechnology, ICT, nanotechnology, health).

MIT students will, in addition, be able to be involved in doctoral studies and research projects at Angelini Industries companies. As well as employees of Angelini Industries companies will have access to training and research programs at the American university.

An important collaboration full of initiatives to design the future of Smart Factory Automation together.
