On Friday, April 22 was held the inauguration of the Demonstration Center, the first real research project Industry 4.0 in Abruzzo, promoted by Confindustria Chieti Pescara, Fameccanica, AB.Side and Fraunhofer Italy.
Many guests and journalists attended the ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of the General Manager of Confindustria Francesca Mariotti, Silvano Pagliuca, President of Confindustria Chieti Pescara and our General Manager, Alessandro Bulfon: "It is a pleasure for us to host this Demonstration Center dedicated to innovation and designed for companies in the Abruzzo region. Fameccanica has always made innovation an engine for the growth of its people and the Abruzzo region. In fact, since 1974 our Headquarters have been located here, in Abruzzo, where today we employ more than 500 people. We are deeply linked to this region since our birth. Today we export the technological excellence of Made in Italy, but let me say Made in Abruzzo, in the world and it would not be possible without a strong focus on innovation, openness to external partners, universities and initiatives like this."
This space hosted within the headquarters of Fameccanica, represents a pole dedicated to open innovation, with devices of the major international players of Industry 4.0 such as ABB, KUKA, Roboze, Fortek, DASSAULT SYSTEMES, Fraunhofer and will see the presence of specialized researchers to support companies, to facilitate the paths of digital transition. Inside, in fact, technologies ranging from additive manufacturing to augmented reality, from collaborative robots to robotic cells.
The dedicated press conference was attended by: Alessandro Bulfon, General Manager Fameccanica; Silvano Pagliuca, President of Confindustria Chieti Pescara; Franco D'Intino, President of Ab.Side; Dominik Matt, Director of Fraunhofer Italy and Massimiliano Iocco, Delegate of Confindustria Chieti Pescara for Industry 4.0 who presented the operational details and the equipment of the Demonstration Center.
