On Dec. 10, 2018 at Reggio Emilia the 5 Italian companies, recognized as the ones that adopted meccatronic solutions leading to the development of innovative products determining outstanding competitive advantages on international markets, were awarded. The award as absolute winner was assigned to Technogym, that designs and realizes products, digital technologies and services for fitness, sport and health.
Fameccanica was assigned a trophy for being finalist together with Eurofork (Turin) - Telescopic forks and shuttle systems for automatic warehouses; Fassi Gru (Bergamo) - Loader cranes for trucks; Ognibene Power (Reggio Emilia) - Hydraulic actuators and steering units for tractors. The companies were selected in collaboration with Nòva – Il Sole 24 Ore, media partner of the initiative.
The Scientific Committee, lead by Fabio Storchi, President of Unindustria Reggio Emilia, was composed by: Maurizio Brevini, President of Club Meccatronica, Luca De Biase, Editor in Chief of Nòva – Il Sole 24 Ore, Cesare Fantuzzi, Professor at the Università degli Studi of Modena e Reggio Emilia, Enzo Rullani, Professor at the Venice International University and Auro Palomba, President of Community Group, as secretary.
Engineer Oronzo Lucia, Automation & Control and Design Services Manager, went to pick up the trophy on behalf of Fameccanica Management.
